Teaching Young Women In Society Truth
Pastor Angela started Teaching Young Women In Society Truth in order to save and empower young ladies and to provide a way for them to realize their greatness through Arts Education and know that they can accomplish anything that they set to achieve! TYWIST teaches young ladies including those at risk on how to be successful within themselves and in society and that they can make their dreams come true!
What We Do
We are an Intervention Program for young ladies who are displaying at risk behaviors at home, in our schools, and in our community. Our program addresses these patterns that can lead up to joining or being a part of a gang, bullying, or being violent. Our 12 week class focuses on cognitive development, etiquette and social skills which will help young students make good decisions and build self esteem so they can become confident, productive members of society who love themselves. We have added our Arts Education program to ensure that youth learn about art, drama, music, spoken word, and studio time. Each month our girls go on field trips to get this exposure.

Our History
TYWIST was created after the Founder recognized there was a need for female programs that targeted at risk, gang affiliated females who display violent behaviors. The program started with social services to help meet the needs of young women and their families.
The Founder, who is a domestic violence survivor and an advocate against abuse, decided that this hidden abuse that afflicted her for most of her life would be addressed, and created these programs to save many women as possible realizing that many at at risk due to the cycles of abuse in their lives. The founder believes that if you educate young women early, it can stop the abuses that can come later in life.
